A perfect greenside bunker - its natural appearance makes it appear as if it has been there forever.

ReplyDeleteI actually like the look of a natural edged bunker better than manicured edge. Not sure I am in the majority on this one.
Is there an advantage from a maintenance standpoint other than not edging? I would think there is a fine line between natural and overgrown.
I like the look too but the "theme" of the course has to match. It would not work at certain courses but looks great in the right spots. I can't wait to watch the Open @ Pinehurst #2 this summer.
